Time and again there have been instances when the makers of the movie landed in trouble for some scenes in the film, but now a fact-checker and founder of Alt News has landed up in jail because of sharing a photo from a 1983 Bollywood film.

Mohammed Zubair was arrested on Monday evening over the alleged charges of intent to outrage religious feelings of any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs. He has been booked under sections 153 and 295 of the Indian Penal Code.

Zubair shared a tweet in 2018 in which he shared a picture from a 1983 film. Sharing the picture, he wrote Before 2014: Honeymoon Hotel. After 2014: Hanuman Hotel.

Where is that picture of the signboard from?

A Twitter user highlighted that the picture of the signboard is a screenshot from the 1983 Bollywood film Kissi Se Na Kehna. The movie was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee and was duly cleared by the censor board at the time and is shown on television a number of times.

Recently, Zubair was receiving a number of threats and the hashtag #ArrestMohammedZubair was also trending after that an FIR was filed against him for saying those who gave hate speeches recently as hatemongers.

Other than this, his tweets were shared without context and were focused on campaigning that Zubair shared Hinduphobic tweets.
