A 23-year-old woman in Italy was given six doses of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine due to a mistake by the health worker administering the vaccine.

The woman, an intern in psychology department of Noa hospital in Tuscany where she was administered the shot, was kept under observation for 24 hours and discharged on Monday.

The ministry of communications’ department of telecommunications (DoT) has said misleading messages are being circulated on various social media platforms claiming the second wave of coronavirus has been caused by the 5G mobile towers testing and that they are “false and not correct.”

Petrol and diesel prices, which started rising after the assembly election results in five states were announced on May 2, are not abating. Oil marketing companies hiked fuel prices for the sixth time on Tuesday since May 4. Curiously, fuel prices had remained stagnant during the election period with no change in prices for 18 days from April 16 to May 3. The report, titled ‘State of Working India Report 2021’ stated that rural India witnessed a 15% increase in poverty and a 20% rise was registered in urban areas after one year of the coronavirus pandemic.
