As India celebrates its 75th Independence Day, wishes from across the world pour in. From US President Joe Biden to Russian president Vladimir Putin wished the country on a special day.

US President Joe Biden wished India a happy Independence Day, he said all the people who are celebrating Indian Independence Day, in the United States, and throughout the world, enjoy the day of Independence.

He further said, at the current moment with all the great challenges and opportunities, the relation between the US and India getting strong than ever. Together, India and the US must show the world that two great diverse democracies can deliver for people everywhere and the friendship between our nations will continue to flourish and grow, Biden added.

Biden said, on this day, August 15, 1947, India has achieved a long journey toward independence, guided by freedom fighter Mahatma Gandhi who always stood on truth and non-violence, Biden added in his message to India countrie’s 75th Independence Day.

US secretary of state Antony Blinken also wished India on a special day and said, on behalf of all the citizens of the US and the government, he is sending warm wishes to the people of India on 75th Independence Day.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also wished India on a special day, he said the success achieved by India economically, socially and in other spheres is widely acknowledged. India plays a big and important role in solving topical issues of the international agenda.

India’s neighbours, Bhutan also wishes India on this special day. Bhutan’s Prime Minister Lotay Tshering tweeted this occasion was to convey appreciation to the government and people of India, particularly the Embassy of India team in Bhutan, for the support during these difficult times. I offer my warmest wishes on this special occasion. Happy Independence Day, Tshering added in his tweet.
