With an aim to wash out the feelings of a bride and her family’s wedding plan, the heavy rains in Andhra Pradesh come as a disappointment for the family members but they did not give up and took a boat ride to reach groom’s house.

Despite water levels rising in Andhra Pradesh’s Konaseema district, the family has shown its courage to ride a boat to the groom’s home to finish the wedding rituals.

Identified as Prashanti, the bride can be seen dressed in her wedding attire while heading to the groom Ashok’s place Amidst heavy rains and flooding in Andhra Pradesh.

The video of the bride’s family’s boat ride shows the hassle-free chit-chat of people on board during the boat travel.

The wedding ceremony of Ashok and Prashanti was initially delayed due to heavy rains and floods in the state, but however, the bride and her family managed to ride a boat to the groom’s home to finish the wedding rituals.

They chose to get married in July instead of August, hoping to avoid the monsoon, but that plan did not work out, the newly wedding couple said.

Andhra Pradesh has been witnessing the worst flood after a gap of 36 years. The water level of Godavari River is threatening to inundate tens of villages mostly in West Godavari and Konaseema districts, the PTI reported.

The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will conduct an aerial survey on Friday to assess the devastation caused by the floods.
