In a horrifying accident, Miss Kerala 2019 Ansi Kabeer and runner-up Anjana Shajan passed away in a car accident on Monday. According to media reports, the accident took place at Vytilla near Kochi at around 1 am.

The two of them died on the spot when their car lost control after it was trying to avoid a two-wheeler. The other two are admitted to Ernakulam Medical Centre hospital with critical injuries, the report suggests.

As per the CCTV cameras recovered by the police from the shop’s premises, the car was seen running at high speed and lost control on suddenly seeing the scooter in front. The accident may have happened after they tried to avoid hitting the two-wheeler.

Ansi and Anjana participated in the 20th edition of the Miss Kerala beauty pageant. The 24-year-old Ansi began modelling during her college days and had also bagged the title of the first runner-up in Miss Malabar and Lulu Beauty Contest in 2018. The 25-year-old Anjana was an Ayurvedic doctor by profession.

A day before her death, Ansi Kabeer shared a serene Instagram post where she can be seen walking in the valley and enjoying nature. Ironically, she captioned the post as, “It’s time to go.”
