April Fool’s Day is here, and it’s time to sharpen our pranking talents. On April Fools’ Day, we get the perfect chance to perform various jokes and pranks on our friends, family, partners, and coworkers with little or no concern of offending them.

While the number of pranks that may be done is limitless, we’ve compiled a list of simple and lighthearted pranks that will make you laugh with the people you care about.

Bring some laughter to your office and house by pulling these pranks on your family, friends, and colleagues.

1. We all know someone in our family who panics when they see insects or creepy crawlies. To trick those family members, use paper cutouts or fake insects. You can leave one on the lamp to give them a terrifying experience every time they turn it on.
   
2. Place a piece of tape beneath a coworker’s computer mouse and watch them struggle to figure out why it isn’t working!
   
3. Imagine the expression on your family members’ faces when they open the fridge and are greeted with dozens of hilarious eyes. Make funny eyes out of paper and glue them on all of the food in the refrigerator. Take a seat and watch the show.
   
4. Apply a thick layer of transparent nail paint to a soap bar and have your family member use it. They’ll be left scrubbing the non-lathering soap, and when they ask for another, wish them a Happy April Fools!
   
5. Bring a tear-resistant cloth with you to the office.  Rip the cloth a little whenever someone attempts to sit in their chair. Have a good time while they race to the restroom to check for a rip in their pants.
   
6. Do you go to work every day through a swinging door? Switch the push and pull signs positions. Arrive a few minutes early to work, then step back and watch the chaos as people try to figure out how to get in or out. But don’t do this on fire escape doors!
   
7. Switch the M and N keys on your colleague’s keyboard and see them get irritated at their misspellings.
   
8. Try spreading salt on the toothbrush of your target. Dip the toothbrush in salt once it has been wet. Remove any remaining particles with a dusting cloth and keep them back.
   
9. Place biscuits, crackers, or papads (crusty Indian snacks) beneath the target’s bed sheet. As soon as the person sits on it, he or she will be shocked. It’s even more fun if you do it around midnight.
   
10. Apply vaseline on doorknobs, alarm clock keys, jar covers, and any other place that is suitable for your scenario. This is both safe and nasty at the same time. Consider the person’s expression when he or she is stuck with this one.
