The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President JP Nadda on Tuesday announced the names of candidates for the upcoming MLC elections in Uttar Pradesh. JP Nadda declared the names of the candidates who will be contesting from five constituency seats in the Uttar Pradesh legislative council.

The BJP candidates for the graduate constituencies include Arun Pathak who will be contesting from the Kanpur constituency, while Devendra Pratap Singh and Jai Pal Singh Vyast will be contesting from the Gorakhpur-Faizabad constituency and Bareilly-Moradabad constituency respectively).

Two candidates will be contesting from the teachers’ constituency. They include Venu Ranjan Bhadauria, who will be the party nominee for the Kanpur-Unnao constituency and Babulal Tiwari for the Jhansi-Prayagraj constituency.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that the biennial election to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council from three graduate constituencies and two teachers’ constituencies will be held on January 30.

The notification for the election will be issued on January 5, 2023. The last date for the filing of the nomination papers is January 12. Scrutiny will be done on January 13 and the last date for the withdrawal of nomination papers is January 16.

The counting of votes will be done on February 2.

Nadda`s three-year term as the party president ends later this month. However, his term is being extended in view of upcoming elections.

Vishwa Hindu Sena President, Arun Pathak, who is known for making controversial statements on social media is in the headlines again. And, this time for a rather worrisome reason. Recently, Pathak announced on social media that he will reward Rs 51 lakh to the person who will bring Union Minister Narayan Rane’s head.

Pathak has been absconding for three months in the case of pasting the posters of the Prime Minister and Chief Minister in Varanasi. It is reported that he is wanted in the Bhelupur police station, but the police have not been able to trace him.

He wrote on social media that Bala Saheb made this pocket picker a Shivsainik and also a Chief Minister, and now he dares to say things to his son Uddhav Thackeray. He further said that the person who beheads Narayan Rane, will be rewarded with Rs 51 lakh.

Pathak also said that the ashes of Narayan Rane will not even be allowed to immerse in Kashi.
