Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar turned 54 today on September 9. On the occasion of his birthday, he shared a heartwarming post for his mother, who passed away yesterday on September 8. The 54-year-old actor shared a picture in which his mother was giving a peck on his cheek and he was all smiles in the adorable picture.

Akshay shared the picture with a heartwarming caption in which he wrote that he would have never liked it this way but he is sure that his mother is singing Happy Birthday to him from right up there. He further thanked his fans, friends and family, who poured condolences and wishes alike. He concluded the note by writing life goes on.

He tweeted that his mother was his core and today he feels an unbearable pain at the very core of his existence. Akshay further said that his mother passed away on September 8 morning and she got reunited with his father in another world.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay has lined up projects. He was last seen in the film BellBottom and he will be seen in Bachchan Pandey, Raksha Bandhan, Setu and Prithviraj.

Aruna Bhatia was admitted to the hospital on Monday. The actor was shooting for his upcoming film Mission Cinderella in the UK and had to rush back. On Tuesday he had shared an update about his mother’s health and also thanked his well-wishers for their prayers. Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help, Akshay wrote.

However, the actor shared a strong bond with his mother.

Akshay Kumar had recently shared that he has gained around five kilos after shedding around six kilos to don the avatar of the stylish cop in Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. The actor had said that the best part of his characters demanding him to gain weight is that he gets to relish the delicious Halwa cooked by his mother.

Bhatia has been facing health concerns for some time now. In an Instagram post he made in 2019, Kumar was seen strolling with her on the streets of London as she used a wheelchair to move around. No matter how busy you are with life and growing up, don’t forget they are also growing old…so spend time with them while you still can, he wrote.

The actor shared the news of his mother’s demise and penned an emotional note on Twitter. “She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti”, he tweeted.

Akshay Kumar, who was shooting for his film Cinderella in London, flew back to Mumbai on Monday after his mother got admitted to ICU. The next day, he took to Twitter and expressed his gratitude to his fans and friends for praying for his mother’s health.

Taking it to Twitter, he expressed, “Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom’s health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help.”

Like every child, Akshay is also closely attached to his mother. On Mother’s Day, the actor had shared a special post. He posted a happy picture and had written, “Maa warga koi nahi #MothersDay (There’s no one like mom).”

For those who don’t know, Aruna Bhatia was a co-partner at Hari Om Productions. She had produced several films of Akshay Kumar including Rustom, Patiala House, Singh Is King, Airlift, Mission Mangal, and others.
