The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) gave a clean chit to Aryan Khan on Friday in the high-profile 2021 drugs-on-cruise case. NCB presented a charge sheet today in the Special Court stating that Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, has not been found in possession of any narcotics.

The charge sheet states that Vikrant, Ishmeet, Arbaaz, Aryan, and Gomit were detained at the International Port Terminal, MbPT, and Nupur, Mohak, and Munmun were detained at the Cordelia Cruise based on information provided by NCB Mumbai on October 2, 2021. Except for Aryan and Mohak, all of the accused were found to be in possession of drugs.

Last year, the narcotics agency detained Aryan Khan and many others when drugs were discovered on a cruise off the coast of Mumbai. Six people have been charged in the case, but a complaint against them has not been filed due to a lack of evidence, while 14 have been charge-sheeted in the case.

Aryan Khan was arrested under the NDPS Act’s Sections 8C, 20B, 27, and 35. He was later released on bail. The NCB raid on a cruise ship in Mumbai and subsequent action against some people, according to the Congress party, was a ploy to divert attention away from the real issue of the drug seizure at Mundra port in Gujarat.

On October 2 of last year, the NCB busted a high-profile narcotics party en route from Mumbai to Goa aboard a Cordelia cruise ship. After receiving information from the CISF about the suspected drug party, NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his crew boarded the cruise ship as passengers.

The NCB raided the cruise ship and recovered a little amount of cocaine, mephedrone, charas, hydroponic cannabis, MDMA, and Rs 1,33,000 in cash. Eight people were seized by the NCB, including Aryan Khan, while six others were released. During the course of the investigation, the number grew to 20.

Prabhakar Sail, the Narcotics Control Bureau’s witness in the Aryan Khan drug case, died of a heart attack on Saturday morning at his residence in Mumbai, the police said.

A police official told the reporters that Prabhakar Sail, 37, died of a heart attack at his house in Mahul (Chembur) on Friday evening. He was taken to the Rajawadi Hospital in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar. After a few minutes of treatment, the doctor declared him dead, he said.

Prabhakar Sail, the personal bodyguard of Kiran Gosavi, another witness in Aryan Khan drug case, died of a heart attack at his residence in Chembur, his advocate Tushar Khandare confirmed to media. His family members do not suspect any foul play, he also said.

Sail had earlier levelled allegations of corruption against Gosavi and NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede. In an affidavit, the NCB witness had claimed that he had heard Gosavi discuss a Rs 25 crore pay-off deal after the arrest of Aryan Khan in Mumbai drug case on October 3 last year.

The NCB had told the court that Sail had turned hostile and his affidavit was still pending before the court.

Along with 19 others, the Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s sonm Aryan Khan was named as a main accused in Mumbai drug case. Of the 20 accused in the case, only 2 are in judicial custody and the rest are out on bail.

The NCB were booked them under relevant sections of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for alleged possession, consumption, sale/purchase of banned drugs, conspiracy and abatement, among others.

A day after Aryan Khan’s bail plea was rejected, the Narcotics Control Bureau has visited Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat and Ananya Panday Mumbai’s residence on Thursday. The Khali Peeli actor has been summoned for questioning at 2 pm.

Earlier, it was being reported that the NCB officials have raided the residences of the actors.

NCB visits Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat

As per media reports, the NCB officials have clarified that they visited Mannat for some paperwork and did not raid SRK’s residence. The officers have also informed that the paperwork in Aryan Khan’s case has been completed.

Talking about Ananya Panday, the reports suggest that the NCB officials have access to a WhatsApp chat wherein Aryan Khan discussed drugs with Ananya Panday.

On Thursday morning, Shah Rukh Khan visited his son in Mumbai’s Arthur Road jail. The superstar was spotted for the first time ever since Aryan Khan was arrested. On Wednesday, the StarKid’s bail plea was rejected for the fourth time.

A special court denied bail to Aryan Khan based on WhatsApp chats accessed by the NCB that reveal his involvement in illicit drug activities.

As per reports, Judge VV Patil said in his order that WhatsApp chats of prima facie have revealed that Aryan was dealing with illicit drug activities for narcotic substances on regular basis and it cannot be believed that Khan is not likely to commit a similar offence while on bail.

Bombay High Court to hear Aryan Khan’s bail plea on October 26

Meanwhile, the Bombay High Court will hear the bail plea of Aryan Khan on October 26. The court scheduled the date after advocate Satish Maneshinde requested the single-judge bench of justice Nitin Sambre for an early hearing.

The court also directed the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to file its reply by Monday, October 25.
