Finally! the tech giant Asus is all set to launch one of its much-awaited smartphones Asus 8z aka Zenfone 8 in India. The company has confirmed the news on its all social media handles that it will launch the gadget on February 28 in the country. Interested customers can purchase the product from any online shopping platforms such as www.amazon.com or www.flipkart.com.

The company wanted to launch the smartphone in August last year, but due to a global coronavirus pandemic outbreak, the company pushed the launch date further. Speaking about the product, the company’s business head in India, Dinesh Sharma said the firm is almost ready to introduce one of its advanced smartphones in the market, it will be the game-changer in the market, Sharma added.

As far as Asus 8z’s specifications are concerned, the phone will be launched with a 5.9-inch AMOLED screen with high definition screen resolution, 1,110nits of peak brightness, and a 120Hz refresh rate. The customers can expect Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and a dual-camera setup at the rear, which will provide a good photo quality even in low light.

Under the hood, the company might launch the smartphone with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which allow users to operated heavy application such as Freefire and PUBG smoothly. The phone will be backed by up to 16GB of RAM and with a storage capacity of 256 GB. The gadget will come with a 4,000mAh battery unit with 30W fast charging support.

Expected price

The company has already launched the phone in Europe at the starting price of EUR 599, which is around Rs 53,200 in India. But, there are speculations that the firm might launch the phone in the Indian market at less price as compared to Europe. The device is expected to give tough competition to existing smartphones such as the OnePlus 9RT and the recently launched iQOO 9.
