Akshay Kumar has shared the first look from his upcoming film Atrangi Re, also starring Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush, as he wrapped the shooting of the film on Saturday.

It’s the last day of #AtrangiRe and I can’t wait for y’all to experience the magic created by @aanandlrai. Also a big thank you to my co-stars @saraalikhan95 and @dhanushkraja for letting me be a part of this beautiful film, wrote the actor on Instagram. 

In the photo, Akshay can be seen dressed in black suit wearing a hat while holding a King of Hearts card. Going by the look, it seems the actor is playing the role of a magician as his look bears uncanny resemblance to one. 

However, the film’s director Aanand L Rai had claimed that the actor plays a very special character who is important to the narrative.

Akshay began shooting for the film in December last year. The pictures from the sets of Agra splashed on the internet where Akshay in the avatar of a king and Sara Ali Khan in an all-pink ensemble looked incredible.

Atrangi Re is a joint production of Colour Yellow Productions, T-Series and Kumar’s Cape Of Good Films. The film is written by Himanshu Sharma and the music is by Academy Award-winning composer AR Rahman. The movie is slated to release on August 6.

Besides Atrangi Re,  the 53-year-old actor will also be seen in the thriller Bell Bottom  scheduled to release on May 28. His upcoming films include Yash Raj Films’ Prithviraj, Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, Farhan Samji’s Bachchan Pandey, Abhishek Sharma’s Ram Setu, Aanand L Rai’s Raksha Bandhan and Amazon Prime Video’s untitled series.

Recently, the actor had done the mahurat shot for his film Ram Setu in Ayodhya. The film stars Jacqueline Fernandes and Nushrratt Bharuccha in the female lead.
