PayCM posters featuring the image of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai surfaced across Bengaluru roads on Wednesday.

The posters were looking similar to the Paytm electronic wallet. Bommai’s face appears in the center of the QR code with the words Here 40% Accepted Here. However, the posters have been designed to highlight how 40% commission rate has allegedly become the norm under the current BJP regime in Karnataka.

Taking cognizance of the matter, the Karnataka police reached various spots of Bengaluru where posters had been displayed and removed the PayCM posters featuring Bommai displayed on the roadside.

A video of police removing the PayCM posters at the CV Raman road in Bengaluru is doing rounds on social media. However, it is still not clear that the Congress is behind the PayCM posters in Bengaluru.

In the video, the police officials can be seen removing posters at CV Raman Road near Mekhri Circle and in a few other places in Bengaluru.

Similar posters were also seen in Hyderabad last week ahead of the BJP’s Hyderabad liberation day events.

The official Twitter of the National Student Union of India (NSUI) also shared the video with the caption For any deal PayCM karo.

The development comes in the midst of Congress accusing Chief Minister Bommai of corruption in public contracts and recruitment of government jobs in Karnataka.

The Congress has recently launched the 40 per cent Sarkara website to target the state government over the malpractices of corruption. The Congress asked citizens of Karnataka to report corruption and register complaints at a designated website – 40percentsarkara.com, where 95,541 complaints related to corruption have been received so far from across Karnataka.

Ahead of Assembly elections in Karnataka, the Congress has been staging Bharat Jodo Yatra throughout the state.
