Australian pacer Mitchell on Thursday played knock of 34 runs in just 60 balls on the second day of 4th Test match of 5-match Ashes test series.

With the help of Starc’s 34 and Usman Khwaja’s 134 runs, Australia has declared their inning scoring 416 runs on the board on the Day 2 of the 4th test match. Australian start batter Steve Smith also contributed 67 runs to build the up the Australia inning.

As soon Australia declared his inning and invited England for batting on the Day 2, tweeple started comparing Indian skipper Virat Kohli’s batting average to Australian pacer Mitchell Starc.

Comparing Virat Kohli, who have not scored a country since 2019, with Mitchell Starc, tweeple said Mitchell Starc has a better batting average than Kohli in test cricket since 2019.

Currently the Australian pacer has an average of 38.68 while Indian red ball skipper has 37.17 average in test cricket.

In the ongoing Ashes, Mitchell Starc is doing a great job of a genuine all-rounder this series with the ball and the bat. He scored 150 runs and dismissed 15 wickets in the Ashes.

Kohli has not been in good form in Test cricket. He has struggled a lot even in the series that India has won. In fact, he has not scored a century in the past two years which is a little bit of a troubling sign for a player who otherwise is one of the most reliable with the bat.
