India is a country where everything is possible with the use of Jugad skills. Recently, a Gujarati man justified the statement by turning his Ola S1 Pro electric scooter into a powerful music system. A video of his desi jugad went viral on the internet where people applauded him for using his presence of mind in perfect time.

The short viral clip, which was generated from Suraj showed that the electric scooter became the saviour after the electricity power ditched people when they were about to perform Garba. Then the man used his EV vehicle and turned it into a proper music system so that people don’t have to wait for the light to come.

While sharing the video on Twitter, the user wrote that Ola S1 Pro turned out to be savior when lights were out during the Navratri celebration. Everyone enjoyed Navratri with Ola’s speakers.

The user also tagged the Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal in his post. Reacting to the post, Aggarwal replied that his team will build a special Navratri mode before next year.

Ever since the video was shared on the internet, it has amazed thousands of people and garnered a lot of likes in no time. Many people also shared their opinion about the video in the comment section.

One of the users wrote that India is a land of Jugad where people can invent or do anything. Another user called the EV scooter a perfect party material. While the third user shared a video where a group of people was seen dancing using the Ola EV scooter multi-media feature.

Meanwhile, Ola S1 Pro features launched at the starting price of Rs Rs 1.40 Lakh (Ex-showroom). It comes with a 3.97 kWh battery pack. It provides an 11.4hp-58Nm torque that goes 0-40 km/hr in just 3 seconds. With this power, the two-wheeler considers one of the fastest EV scooters in India.

After launching S1 electric scooter in India, which has received not so good response from the customers due to the complaint about its battery catching fire among others, Ola is now all set to try its hands in the EV cars segment in the country. The company already dropped the teasers of the upcoming EV on their official youtube and other social media handles.

In the teaser, the company gives a sneak peek of not 1, but 3 electric cars. As per the teaser, the upcoming EV is likely to have extended DRLs, covering the full bonnet. The vehicle shares some of the key features of the Kia’s newly launched EV6. However, there are expectations that the firm surely will launch its four-wheeler at a lesser price as compared to EV6.

What will be the price of Ola EV cars?

There are reports that suggested that interested customers might have to spend somewhere around 25 to 26 lakh if they want to purchase the Ola EV cars. While the hatchback version is likely to be launched at the starting price of Rs 10 lakhs. Reports said the firm is likely to start the production of the car in the start of next year.

If rumors are to be believed, the vehicle is likely to feature a battery pack which will measure 70-80 kWh.

Ola EV scooter that was launched on August 15 this year, is now available to purchase directly from www.olaelectric.com and customers can take the delivery of the vehicle to their doorstep. The company also revealed that it has teamed up with the top leading banks of the country to provide tension-free loans facilities to the customers.

Ola Electric Chief Marketing Officer Varun Dubey said customers don’t need to worry about the loan and finance issue as the company has tied up with the leading banks like Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank,  HDFC Bank, IndusInd Bank, IDFC First Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Kotak Mahindra Prime, Jana Small Finance Bank, TATA Capital and YES Bank to facilitate its customers.

For the insurance of the EV vehicles, customers can use Ola and Ola Electric Apps to getting it done with the company’s insurance partner ICICI Lombard.

Dubey said all the financing and loan approval will be done online, customers will get their KYC done online in just a few minutes. He further added, the EMI for the S1 variant will starts at just Rs 2,999 per month, for the Ola S1 Pro version, the EMIs will start from Rs 3,199 per month.

The company said the HDFC Bank will provide the eligible customers pre-approved loans online instantly for any variant. If a customer wants doesn’t want to purchase the vehicle on loan, they can simply pay an advance amount of Rs 20,000 at the time of booking and the rest of the amount when the company confirmed the order.

The Ola will start the deliveries of EV scooters from October this year. Ola said it will also start providing test rides to the customers from the same month. Ola’s EV scooter comes with a battery warranty of three years.

Meanwhile, Ola’s founder Bhavesh Aggarwal said their EV scooter will give people a great option to switch from conventional fossil fuel to electric vehicles.

Ola Electric is all set to launch its much-awaited electric scooter on August 15 at 2 PM. Ahead of the official launch, the company started taking bookings for the same at a refundable amount.

The company has already crossed 1 lakh bookings on the first day, which made Ola’s EV scooter the most pre-booked two-wheeler in the country. The scooter getting a positive response from the customers on digital platforms.

Ola’s CEO, Bhavesh Aggarwal thanked all the customers who have pre-booked vehicles ahead of launch. He said the company worked hard to provide the customers a smooth-riding experience through its EV scooter.

The company has introduced an EV  scooter in  10 color options with a digital instrument cluster, 12-inch tubeless tires with alloy wheels, cloud-based connectivity, LED head, tail lamps, turn signals and best with 50 liters under-seat storage capacity.

The company has introduced some smart features in the segment like keyless experience, which means users can access the scooter through their smartphone, the company has included the reverse mode in the scooter so that users don’t need to put extra effort while reversing their vehicle.

Battery mileage

Reports said Ola electric scooter is expected to have up to 3.6 kWh battery capacity which is making the two-wheeler eligible for FAME-II subsidy. The company has not revealed any specs yet, but reports suggest the upcoming EV scooter would provide somewhere around 150km range once fully charged with the acceleration of 0-45 km in 4.5 seconds. Customers can expect a top speed of 100 km/h.

Scooters Size

The scooter is expected to come with dimensions of 1,860mm length, 700mm width and 1,155mm height. Saddle height will be around 800mm, wheelbase at 1,345mm, and kerb weight at 74 kgs. The scooter will also get a telescopic suspension at the front and rear as well.
