A video has surfaced on the internet in which a middle-aged Bihari man can be heard doing cricket commentary flawlessly. The man has been identified as Varun Deo Singh and he went viral in 2020 after his video of the commentary in fluent English broke on the internet.

Reports said Singh hails from the Katihar district in Bihar and has been practising cricket commentary since 1992. He aspires to become a cricket commentator officially despite being a teacher by profession.

In 1975, Varun watched his first-ever World Cup and started to develop an interest in cricket commentary and learning the English language, reports further said.

The old video of Singh’s commentary was re-shared by an Instagram handle that goes by the name Patna Beats.

The cricket commentary in such fluent English is not a piece of cake but this man has stunned the internet. The talented man in the video is being highly praised by social media users. One user wrote giving a damn that he has got the right accent. Another user commented that his commentary was very smooth overall. Yet another called it as the reincarnation of one of the English commentators in Bihar, India. Others lauded him with different adjectives like, superb, fantastic, unbelievable, flawless, nailed it, and so on.

Recently a video with a similar angle surfaced on the internet. In the video, a group of teens were playing a gully cricket match and conversing with one another in Sanskrit. And a boy, who was seen at beginning of the video, can be seen providing commentary in Sanskrit.
