A story has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly where a BJP leader Arjun Kumar Aggarwal along with company barged into the home of an elderly couple and held them captive and tortured them. The victim’s family accused the BJP leader of such a thing over a property dispute.

In the video, an elderly woman along with her husband and her daughter can be seen showing her wounds from the torture imposed on the family. The family can be seen having bruises and swollen faces due to the beating and torture. The woman can also be heard saying that her home was broken into with the help of hammers and further alleged that she was asked to sign the property papers while she was held at gunpoint.

The video also shows the daughter stating that when she returned home, she found out her parents being tied and held captive by the perpetrators. The daughter also pointed at a woman, who wasn’t visible in the camera and alleged her to be among the accomplices of the men who barged into her home.

The incident transpired in Rampur Garden Colony and the victim’s family has accused BJP leader Arjun Kumar Aggarwal and his men of being involved in the crime.

Police action

After the video went viral, the Bareily police came forward in a Tweet and stated that on the basis of the statement given by the victim’s family, a case by Bareilly police has registered a case and further legal action is being taken.

After the video went viral, many users came forward with their take on the incident as one user added to the conversation and wrote that this is how the BJP Party treats women and further added the claims by BJP that women are free to roam around at night without any worry, suggesting at the irony a BJP leader committing crimes against women.

Another user added a staunch attack on BJP as they wrote that these people have chosen the BJP and are bearing the fruits they sowed, suggesting that this is not an isolated incident and that the party has an image of accommodating such leaders who treat women in such a way.
