The Australian team has suffered a major setback before the Test series against India. As there is suspense over Australian young all-rounder Cameron Green playing the Nagpur Test. Skipper Pat Cummins gave an update on Green’s injury and indicated that he might not play the first match.

The 23-year-old is currently out of action after his finger was injured during the Boxing Day Test against South Africa. Right now the next three are very important for Green because his fitness report will come in these days. And then only the captain and team management can think about his inclusion in the playing XI.

However, it was already clear that Green would not be able to bowl in Nagpur. After which Australian captain Pat Cummins said on Thursday that it cannot be said clearly whether Green will play fully in the Nagpur Test or not. Due to the absence of Green in the team, it is equivalent to a big blow for the Australian team.

But if Green is fit, the visiting team will have to choose two fast bowlers and two specialist spinners. While the 23-year-old Australian all-rounder can serve as the third seam option. Jamatha’s Vidarbha Cricket Association will host the first Test of the four-match Test series between India and Australia from February 9 to 13.
