Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor is all set to step into Bollywood as an actor.The producer confirmed that an announcement will soon be made about her debut.

In an interview with Bombay Times, Boney revealed that Khushi is keen on acting, and she will be soon making her Bollywood debut. However, he clarified that he will not be the one launching her. 

Hinting at Khushi being launched by another noted filmmaker, Boney said he would want her younger daughter to find her own footing. He would want her to be launched by someone whom he respects and feel secure about.

Although he has the resources, he would rather like someone else to launch her. As a father, one tends to get indulgent and one cannot afford to do as a filmmaker. Also, it would not be good for the actor, added the producer.

He told the Bombay Times that when he directed his brother Anil Kapoor, it did not affect him much as he was still an established actor. He became an indulgent brother with Sanjay Kapoor, when he launched him into Bollywood. Though it may have gone against him, but now the actor has been doing some amazing work on the OTT platform, said the producer. 

Boney had launched Sanjay Kapoor opposite Tabu in 1995 film Prem. And Anil Kapoor had worked in his film, Woh Saat Din in 1983. He delivered his breakthrough performance in the film.

Even before the launch, Khushi has been quite popular on social media for her fashionable outfits and for her moments shared with sister and actor Janhvi Kapoor. She made her Instagram profile public in December last year.

Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s elder daughter Janhvi made her acting debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khatter, which was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
