In a gut-wrenching incident, a 35-year-old TV actor Amreen Bhat was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday. It is reported that in the incident her 10-year-old nephew was also injured in the attack.

Kashmir Zone Police also said in a tweet that at around 7:55 pm, terrorists fired upon one lady Amreen Bhat D/o Khazir Mohd Bhat R/o Hushroo Chadoora at her home. She was shifted to the hospital in an injured condition where doctors declared her dead.

Police further said that three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were behind the attack and that the area has been cordoned off and a hunt has been launched to nab the terrorists.

Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah also condemned the terrorist attack and said that there can be no justification for attacking innocent women and children like this.

Amreen Bhat, who was killed in the incident was a TV actor and also used to upload videos on TikTok and was social media star from Jammu and Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha also condemned the terror attack and he further extended condolences to the deceased’s family. Manoj Sinha in a tweet wrote the deepest condolences to the family of Amreen Bhat and prayers for the fast recovery of her injured nephew. He further said that they are firmly resolved to demolish the terror ecosystem that continues to receive reinforcement from across the border.

Before this incident, a day ago, the terrorists shot dead a police constable in Srinagar. In the attack, his 7-year-old daughter was injured in the attack.
