In major twists and turns in the Shradhha murder case, the Delhi Police is likely to seek information about Aftab’s profile on Bumble by writing a letter to the dating app. The police want to find out the details of the woman who visited his place when Shraddha’s chopped body was stacked in the refrigerator.

The police are looking at the possibility that any of these women could be a reason behind Shraddha’s alleged murder. For the unversed, Shraddha and Aftab met on Bumble.

According to the reports, Aftab was also in a relationship with another woman, whom he met on the same dating app through which he met Shraddha Walker. Between June and July, he invited the woman, a psychologist, to his apartment one or two times while his live-in partner’s dismembered body was stashed in the refrigerator nearby.

Aftab Poonawala and Sharddha Walker met on a dating site Bumble in 2019. The couple fell in love with each other but Sharddha’s parents were against their relationship so they decided to elope. The couple came to Mehrauli, Delhi in April end. Reports state that Shraddha used to force him to get married.

Furious over this, he strangled her and chopped her body into 35 pieces. Following that, he ordered a fridge and stored the pieces there, and disposed of the chopped parts in different parts of Delhi at midnight.

Police claim that Aftab cut off her body parts with a mini saw, but the weapon has not yet been found. Delhi Police said a mutual friend of Shraddha Walker and Aftab Poonawala, who had informed Shraddha’s father about her going incommunicado was also called for interrogation.

Shraddha’s father demanded the death penalty for the accused while also raising the possibility that the case may have a love jihad angle.
