Amid the rising price of fuel in India, many leading car manufacturing companies introducing their electric vehicles. In the race of launching feature-loaded EV four-wheelers, Chinese car maker BYD also has also unveiled its Atto 3 electric SUVs for Indian customers.

Interested customers can book the vehicle from the company’s official site at the booking amount of Rs 50,000. The firm has not revealed the price details as of now. But reports say that the firm is likely to launch the vehicle at the start price of Rs 23 lakh (ex-showroom) for its base variant.

Electric Powertrain

The new BYD electric SUV will be made available with a 60kWh BYD Blade battery that delivers an ARAI-certified range of 521km on a full charge. There is a permanent magnet synchronous electric motor generating a claimed power of 201bhp and 310Nm of torque. The smaller-capacity battery version accelerates 0 to 100kmph in 7.3 seconds. Its battery pack can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes.

Interior & Features

One of the most feature-rich electric SUVs in its class is the BYD Atto 3. It will feature an infotainment system with a 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The electric vehicle has a flat-bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, Level 2 ADAS technology, a 360-degree camera, and wireless charging.

The electric SUV boasts an electric tailgate opening and an all-LED lighting system. The new BYD Atto 3 electric SUV comes equipped with seven airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an electronic stability control system, electronic brakeforce distribution, anti-lock braking, traction control, hill descent control, a seat belt reminder system, and a speed alert system.

Dimensions & Colours

Taking about the
dimensions and colors, it will be 4455mm long, 1875mm wide, and 1615mm high. It also likes to come with a wheelbase is 2720mm long. The official report says that there will be four colour choices will be offered to the customers – Surf Blue, Boulder Grey, Ski White, and Parkour Red.
