Haryana Sports Minister Sandeep Singh has come under a lot of flak after case was filled against him by the Chandigarh police over allegations of sexual harassment and criminal intimidation on Friday. According to reports the complaint filed against the sitting Haryana Sports Minister comes base off a complaint by a junior athletics coach.

Owing to the allegations against Singh, the Sport Minister has handed over his responsibility to the Chief Minister and had also denied the allegations made against him by saying that the allegations are an attempt to spoil his image.

Former Indian team Hockey Captain has also sought a thorough investigation and said that the sports department will be handled by the Chief Minister till the reports of the enquiry comes out. He also called the claims made against him to be false.

Allegations against Haryana Sports Minister

The woman addressed a press conference at opposition party Indian National Lok Dal’s office where the victim alleged sexual misconduct against the Haryana Sports Minister and sought the Manohar Lal Khattar government to sack Sandeep Singh from the ministry and also urged the state government to set up a SIT to investigate the matter.

The woman had claimed that Singh first saw her at a gym and then approached her on Instagram where the minister had messaged her and told her that her national games certificate is pending and wanted to meet in the given regard.

The complainant also told the media that her certificates were misplaced by her federation and had also approached the authorities for help in the matter.

The woman then told the media that she went to meet the Haryana Sports Minister at his residence to talk about the matter of documents, however, to her surprise the minister made sexual advances on the woman and committed sexual misconduct.
