Noida police on Friday arrested a wanted criminal, an aide of the Chenu gang after an exchange of fires in Noida’s sector 16A, Film City. Police said that there are multiple cases registered against him in Gautam Buddh Nagar such as loot, robbery, and others.

The report suggested that when police received information about the accused Danish that he was spotted in Noida’s Brahmaputra market, a team of police rushed there in order to arrest him. When the accused witnessed that he was being followed by the special staff police. He managed to rush from the spot. In order to stop him, the police shot him in the leg.

Additional DCP (Noida), Ashutosh Dwivedi, told the media that the accused was not ready to surrender. They were being forced by him to handle the situation more violently. Police tried to stop him and shot him in the leg. In his reply, he also fired back at the police force. The scene continued for quite a long after which were successfully able to arrest him.

Dwivedi also revealed that initially, during the checking the police just wanted to stop him near Brahmaputra Market. But he did not cooperate and rushed to the Film City side, where he hide in some construction site. After a few minutes, he started firing at police officers. To which the team retaliates. In exchange for fire, he got shot in his leg, Dwivedi added. In addition to that, he said the accused has 21 cases against him in Delhi-NCR and was on the top wanted list by police.

Meanwhile, the members of the Chenu gang have been involved in crimes like murder, loot, and robbery among others. Earlier, the Special Staff of the North Eastern District napped two of the miscreants from the criminal gang.

The miscreants were identified as Abid alias Sonu, a resident of Maujpur, and Raza, a resident of Jafrabad. Police said both accused have more than 12 criminal cases that include including attempts to murder and robbery
