R Balki’s latest movie, Chup: Revenge of the artist featuring Dulquer Salmaan and Sunny Deol, is an intense thought-provoking movie. The thriller tries to examine the true purpose of film critics and their criticism.

The movie released today has got bumper opening on National Cinema Day and the first Twitter review is out and it seems like the movie delivered what the makers talked about without going overboard and being preachy or overly dramatic.

Chup: Revenge of the Artist revolves around a serial killer (played by Dulquer) who brutally murders critics for insulting movie artistes with their ruthless and insensitive remarks. And soon the authorities rope in the bold cop Arvind Mathur (played by Sunny) to investigate the case. He finds a few striking similarities between the killings, which sets the stage for a cat-and-mouse game.

And with the rave reviews coming on Twitter, the makers have reasons to be optimistic. The R Balki directorial is being hailed as the best ‘psycho-thriller evert made in Indian cinema’. Several social media users lauded the film as the best performance in Dulquer Salmaan’s career so far.
