In Madhya Pradesh, the students from Class 1 to Class 10 will not be able to participate in the Republic Day celebration for this year, 2022.

According to the statement of the Directorate of Public Instructions (DPI) of Madhya Pradesh, this year the students of Class 1 to Class 10 are not allowed to take part in the Republic Day programmes and the flag hoisting on this occasion.

This strict action was taken and the decision was made because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the increasing number of cases in the state and all around the world.

However, Republic Day will be celebrated in government educational schools, institutions, and colleges.

While the schools that are non-governmental will not be participating in the programme of flag hoisting on Republic Day 2022.

As per the official order, all government offices, as well as all buildings of the school, should be embellished with the decoration and the lights on the ceremony of Republic Day. This order was issued by Abhay Verma, the public education commissioner.

Although the same instructions and orders were announced and followed on Republic Day and Independence Day 2021 respectively, the last year. This step was taken into consideration after the surge in the Covid-19.

Amid this, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh also declared that the Madhya Pradesh government will not impose any action or restrictions that are unessential right now.

He added that, with 50 percent of the proportions, the Madhya Pradesh schools will continue to open and operate the things in schools.

Also, it is expected that a meeting will be held to decide whether the schools will be closed or not, due to the expected third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
