Actor Anushka Sharma on Saturday announced that she is stepping away from her production house Clean Slate Filmz. Anushka issued this statement on Instagram and said she will dedicate her time to her first love, acting. The Sultan actor started the production house at the age of 25 years with her brother Karnesh Ssharma. She captioned her post, “Onwards and Upwards @kans26 @officialcsfilms! My best wishes are always with you!!”

Anushka in a statement went on to say that as a new mother and an actor, she has to juggle her life ‘in a totally different way like never before.’ She also gave credit to her brother, entrepreneur Karnesh Ssharma, who she trusted to lead the company forward.

Taking to Instagram, Anushka Sharma wrote that when she and her brother Karnesh Ssharma started Clean Slate Filmz, they were novices when it came to production. “We had a fire in our belly and we wanted to try and set the agenda of entertainment in India through clutter-breaking content”, she added.

She went on to say that she is deeply proud of what her production house has managed to achieve. Anushka also appreciated her brother and gave credit for successfully shaping CSF.

She also said, “Being a new mother who has chosen to be an actor by profession, I have to balance my life in an entirely new fashion like never before. So, I have decided that whatever time I have at hand, I will dedicate it to my first love, acting! Therefore, I have decided to step away from CSF, confident that the most able person, Karnesh, is taking forward the vision with which it was created in the first place.”

Anushka further stated that she will continue to support and be the biggest cheerleader for Karnesh and CSF. She also hopes to be a part of many clutter-breaking projects that would be produced by CSF. “I can’t wait to see how he grows the company from strength to strength with the stellar lineup of projects that he has handpicked, nurtured, and given life to. My best wishes to the entire family at CSF. Love you all! Anushka,” her statement concluded.

Anushka and Karnesh founded Clean Slate Filmz in 2013. It has produced highly acclaimed films such as NH10, Pari, Bulbbul on Netflix, and Paatal Lok on Amazon Prime Video. Mai, a drama series, and Qala, a Netflix film, are among their next projects.

On the work front, Anushka will soon be seen in Chakda Xpress.  It is based on the life and journey of cricketer Jhulam Goswami. She has started her preparations and frequently posts snippets of them on social media. She was last seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif in the 2018 film Zero.
