CNG and PNG have long been used to help people save money on petrol, diesel, and LPG. With the continuous rise in fuel prices, the benefits for CNG consumers have been reduced to 59 percent on petrol and 31 percent on diesel due to the ongoing rise in prices. On April 1, IGL increased the price of compressed natural gas (CNG) by 80 paise per kg and the price of PNG by Rs 5.85 per cubic meter (16.5 percent). Previously, on March 24, the price of PNG was raised by Rs 1 per SCM.
