Charanjit Singh Channi, 58, is all set to take oath as the first Dalit Chief Minister of Punjab. He is a lawyer and has worked for the welfare of the Dalit community. He has been very active in politics and hails from the Ramdasia community, and has been seeking representation of Dalits in the Punjab Cabinet as they hold a high percentage in the party.

Damodar Sanjivayya

Damodar Sanjivayya was the first Dalit Chief Minister of an Indian state. He was the CM of Andhra Pradesh from January 1960 to 1962.

Sushilkumar Sambhaji Shinde

Sushilkumar Shinde was the Dalit Chief Minister of Maharashtra and served the CM position from January 2003 to October 2004.

Ram Sundar Das

Ram Sundar Das was the former Chief Minister of Bihar and was also a two-time Member of Parliament from Hajipur constituency.
