Amid the first phase of polls in Bihar, actor Ameesha Patel has levelled serious allegations against an LJP candidate Prakash Chandra. The actress had gone to the Obra assembly seat on October 26 to campaign in support of LJP candidate Chandra. Patel accused Chandra of  blackmailing, threatening, and misbehaving with her while she was campaigning for him in the assembly election. Patel told India Today TV that she could have been raped and killed while she was on a campaign trail in Bihar’s Daudnagar. She said she had to play along to save her life and get out of there.

The Gadar actress was reacting to a video that has gone viral on social media where a woman describing herself as Ameesha Patel is accusing LJP candidate Prakash Chandra of giving rape threats. However, the authenticity of the clip is still not confirmed.

Ameesha Patel claimed that Prakash Chandra made her miss an evening flight and kept her in the village, threatening her of leaving there if she did not agree to go along. She said as soon as she reached Mumbai, she let the world know the truth that she could have been raped and killed. Her car was surrounded by Chandra’s people all the time and they would refuse to let her car move till she did not do as he said, she added.

LJP leader denies allegation

Meanwhile, LJP candidate has refuted all the allegations levelled against him. He alleged that Ameesha’s has been paid by Jan Adhikar Party leader Pappu Yadav to make false claims against him. He said proper security arrangements were made for Patel during the campaign trail in Daudnagar.

He said he believed in winning elections on the basis of People’s vote but one of his relatives organised her [Patel’s] rally in Obra. All security arrangements were made for her. The Daudnagar police station in-charge was present in her security detail. None of what she has claimed happened. Does Bihar not have artists? Sonakshi Sinha is also from here. She met Pappu Yadav at the airport. They made a deal of Rs 15 lakh, Chandra was quoted as saying by India Today TV.
