Arvind Kejriwal, the Delhi Chief Minister, has accepted suggestions to remove the weekend curfew in Delhi. Also, he told to eliminate the odd-even rule in marketplaces, shops and malls, and enable offices that are private to summon 50 percent of their employees. He has forwarded the suggestions to Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal, who will provide his final approval.

According to the municipal health department, Delhi registered 12,306 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday, January 20, 2022, a reduction from the number of illnesses discovered the day before.

The death toll has risen to 43, the most since June month, of the last year. This month, approximately 400 individuals have died as a result of the infection. Th sample proportions examined that were positive decreased by 2.38 per cent.

According to Satyendar Jain, the Health Minister, the third wave of Covid has passed but restrictions in the metropolitan area will be relaxed only once the number of cases declines significantly.

He further added, the climax has passed, but the infection has not. The number of instances surged from 50 cases per day to 28,000 cases per day, then dropped to 12,000 per day, which is still a significant figure. He said that he will surely eliminate the limits if the cases will drop more.

Also, the weather will deteriorate today and Covid will be more active in this season, as per the reports. According to the IMD’s weather forecast, Delhi will witness light rain on Friday, January 21, 2022.  Today’s lowest temperature in the city was 7.6 degrees Celsius. Today’s air quality will be in the very bad category once again, but still, it is expected that the AQI will be improved following the rain.
