The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there will be light rain in the capital Delhi. Delhi-NCR and the plains of northwest India are witnessing scorching heat right now.

The IMD said that rain is expected in this region on June 16 and 17, 2022. In some areas, there will be relief from heat wave conditions. The IMD forecast said that the maximum temperature is likely to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius over northwest India during the next three days.

At the same time, no significant change in the maximum temperature is likely over east India during the next two days. There is a possibility of a partly cloudy sky and drizzle in the capital of Delhi on Tuesday, June 14. The maximum temperature is expected to be 43 degrees Celcius, and the minimum temperature to be 32 degrees Celsius.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain for the next six days. A yellow alert has been also issued for the coming five days. By Wednesday, the mercury will drop to 41 degrees Celsius and from June 16, there is a possibility of a big relief from the scorching heat.

Monsoon arrived in Bihar, warning of heavy rain in these districts

The southwest monsoon has knocked in Bihar at the scheduled time i.e. on June 13 through Purnia. The effect was visible in Kishanganj, Araria, Purnia and Supaul districts.

According to reports, one or two parts of Kerala may receive light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rains. Light to moderate rain is possible over western parts of Madhya Pradesh, Southeast Rajasthan, East Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and parts of Interior Karnataka.

Light to moderate rain at one or two places is likely over Western Himalayas, parts of Punjab, Saurashtra & Kutch, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha and East Madhya Pradesh.

Also, scattered light rain is likely over Tamil Nadu, South-East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.
