A harrowing story has come to light from Delhi’s Palam where a 25-year-old man, who just returned from a rehabilitation center due to his drug addiction, went on to murder his entire family. The accused allegedly committed the murders of his parents, sister, and grandmother over a fight in the family, say reports.

The man was identified as Keshav and was taken into custody after the police found the bodies of the victims on Tuesday night. The reports also suggest that the murderer who had committed the cold-blooded murder slit the throat of the victims after stabbing the victims multiple times.

Keshav was by his relatives as he was trying to flee away from his crime after committing the murder of his entire family. The relatives handed over Keshav to the police after finding him at the house while he was trying to find an escape plan. The police have charged Keshav under the IPC of homicide (302) and are taking further actions to investigate the matter.

Keshav, who had been suffering from addiction as he also sought help from a rehabilitation center recently, was under the influence of drugs when he committed the murders, said reports.

The family slaughtered by the son was identified as Deewana Devi (Grandmother), Dinesh ( Father), Darshana (mother), Urvashi (sister). The reports also suggest that the man was unemployed since Diwali and was struggling with issues of addiction.

Police’s statement

The police in their statement to the media stated that the bodies of the accused’s parents were found in the bathroom, whereas the sister and grandmother of the accused were found in different rooms. The police statement also stated that on November 22, at 10 in the evening, the Palam Police station was informed about the matter, after which the police rushed to the place of the crime.

In the statement, the police also added that the motive of the crime was a fight between Keshav and his family. The exact theme of the fight was also suggested to be the perpetrator being unemployed.
