Diwali is generally celebrated on the 15th day of the Holy month Kartik which falls on November 4 this year. The 3-day long festival begins with Dhanteras which will be observed on November 3. It marks the celebration of the victory of Lord Ram over Ravan. It was the day when Lord Ram, Sita, and Laxman along with Hanuman returned to Ayodhya after 14 years in exile.
