[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Dr. Manish Rungta, a Gastroenterologist and the President of the Executive Committee, India House said he is super-excited to welcome Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi in Houston, Texas where he will be sharing the stage with President Donald Trump in the Howdy Modi event. 

Modi will be addressing an expected gathering of at least 50,000 people at NRG stadium (formerly Reliant stadium) on September 22.

“The whole community is awaiting the historic event for he is going to communicate with us his feelings and thoughts about the Indo-American relationship and the strategic partnership that can benefit both nations,” Rungta said. 

Being a practising physician, a gastro-enterologist with roots in Varanasi, Dr. Rungta said many Indians settled in the US want to volunteer for healthcare in India. It is his personal observation that there is a lot of room for improvement in healthcare. He expects strategic partnership between the two nations as the outcome of this event for training medical practitioners in critical areas to help provide optimal care for Hindustanis.

“We really hope that our Prime Minister visit to the US will result in mutual benefits to both the United States and India,” he added. 

 What this visit holds for the Indo-US relationship is ‘mutual benefit’ in Business, Healthcare, Trade and many other areas. This visit would be immensely fruitful if some kind of action plan is worked upon, Rungta said. 

50,000 people have registered to attend the event, which is a first for any visiting Prime Minister, while millions more around the world would be watching him.

Dr. Rungta takes this opportunity to state that this is a friendly reminder to the world that India has contributed so much and holds so much more to offer. In his words, Modi is “a generational leader who has filled hearts with so much expectation and love.”

Dr. Manish Rungta was elected President of the Executive Committee by India House. The new committee’s tenure will be from July 15, 2019 to July 15, 2021.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
