Strong earthquake tremors were felt across Delhi and the NCR region on Tuesday. According to the reports, the earthquake hit the capital at around 2:28 pm.

As per National Center for Seismology, the tremors were felt after a 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit parts of Nepal.

The earthquake was at a depth of 10 km and was about 63 km to the northwest of Nepal’s Jumla district, more than 300 km from the capital, Kathmandu.

People took to social media to express that they have felt the strong tremors of the earthquake. One of the users wrote that the earthquake in Delhi-NCR was pretty strong as her flat shook for about 12-15 seconds.

One of the users also shared a video in which the box containing walnuts is shaking due to the earthquake.

Another user shared a video of his ceiling fan shaking due to the earthquake.

However, no injuries, casualties or damages to the property have been reported yet.

Earlier in the month, the tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR after an earthquake of 5.9 magnitude jolted Afghanistan. The epicenter was 79 km south of Fayzabad in Afghanistan at a depth of 200 km.
