Tremors were felt in Madhya Pradesh today at around 1 pm, as per the National Center for Seismology (NCS). An earthquake measuring 3.0 on the Richter Scale jolted the largest state in central India.

According to NCS, the earthquake’s radius encompassed three states because the epicenter of the earthquake was in MP’s Dhar district, near Gujarat and Maharashtra. The epicenter was located 151 kilometers southwest of Indore, the state capital.

The NCS in a tweet said, Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.0, Occurred on 19-02-2023, 12:54:32 IST, Lat: 22.07 & Long: 74.56, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 151km WSW of Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India.

The depth of the earthquake was recorded to be 10 km. The longitude and latitude of the earthquake were found to be 74.56 and 22.07 respectively, said NCS.

As of now, no casualty or damage to the property has been reported.

Two days ago, an earthquake measuring 3.6 hit Jammu and Kashmir’s Katra early in the morning. The epicenter of the earthquake was 97 kilometers east of Katra.

The latitude and longitude of the earthquake were found to be 33.10 degrees and 75.97 degrees respectively. The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 10 km.
