A disturbing story has come to light from Haryana’s Gurugram where a 14-year-old girl, who was hired to help a couple with their baby, was brutalised, tortured and sexually assaulted by the couple. According to reports, an FIR has been registered in the case against the couple.

It was reported that the couple had hired the girl through a placement agency. The 14-year-old was reportedly getting tortured and sexually harassed by the couple for months. It was also reported that the girl was beaten up viciously while the couple also made the minor overwork.

The minor girl is native from Jharkhand’s Ranchi and was hired through a placement agency five months ago to take care of the accused couple’s three year old daughter.

The initial findings also suggest that the couple didn’t let the girl sleep and didn’t give the girl food, forcing her to eat something from the leftover food thrown in the dustbin. The police have also claimed that the girl was also sexually harassed by the couple in the span of the 5 months.

It was reported that the police, along with an NGO named Sakhi, were able to rescue the girl from Gurugram’s New Colony. The Sakhi NGO’s centre in-charge, Pinky Malik, had registered a complaint against the couple.

The minor girl after being rescued was found to have sustained a lot of injuries as her body was covered with it. Aside from the injury marks, the minor’s mouth was also completely swollen. The 14-year-old was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition and is undergoing treatment, said reports.

Another incident

Another harrowing story came to light from Jaipur where a minor girl was trafficked to jaipur and sold to a woman for Rs 55,000 .

According to reports, the 13-year-old minor girl told the police that she used to live with her family and siblings in Jharkhand and they were approached by a woman who worked as a vegetable seller with a proposal of marriage two months back.

After the girl’s family agreed, she was later sent to Jaipur as the woman and her grandmother dropped her off. The girl also told the police that she used to get raped by the son of the woman regularly who claimed to be her husband.
