The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 will be conducted at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur starting tomorrow, February 5, 2022. The GATE examination will be conducted on February 5th, 6th, and 13th, 2022 respectively.  The hall ticket can be downloaded from the official website of GATE, gate.iitkgp.ac.in by applicants.

The Supreme Court denied two engineering graduates’ pleas for the examination to be postponed. Trying to interfere in the exam procedure barely 48 hours before it starts might cause confusion and uncertainty, according to the bench yesterday, on February 3, 2022.

On test days, GATE 2022 examination will be administered in two slots. The first time slot is from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, and the second slot is from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Because of the parameters of the surrounding in the Covid outbreak, state and local governments may impose a curfew on such days. IIT Kharagpur has published the GATE 2022 Travel Pass for applicants to make it easier for them to travel to the GATE various examination centres.

How to download GATE 2022 Hall Ticket

Step 1: Go to the official website of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the designated link for Download Admit Card.

Step 3: A new window will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Enter the id number of GATE 2022 and the required credentials.

Step 5: Submit the details.

Step 6: Check and download the GATE 2022 admit card.

Step 7: Take a printout for future use.

Important Guidelines for GATE 2022 Exam

1. It is compulsory for the applicants to reach the the test centre at least 90 minutes prior to the exam’s scheduled start time.
2. Applicants will have to follow the rope queues and floor markers as they enter the exam hall.
3. Applicants who have a body temperature of more than 99.4 degrees Fh must appear for the exam in an isolation room at the testing centre.
4. To the test hall, candidates must bring a hard copy of the GATE admit card as well as the original identification card used for enrollment.
5. At the exam centre, bar codes scanned on admit cards, and applicants will be given their lab numbers. 
6. Face mask, sanitiser, hand gloves, water bottle, pencil or pen and test relevant papers are all allowed within exam hall.

Candidates must enter their enrollment ids or email ids and passwords to download GATE 2022 admit cards from the official website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

Exams for GATE 2022 will commence on February 5, 2022, and will end on February 13, 2022. Furthermore, on February 4, 2022, scribe selection, exam centre preparation, including proper cleaning, and other activities will begin.

Earlier, the GATE 2022 admit card release date was scheduled on December 7, however, the latest notice announced that the date has been postponed once again. The admit cards were supposed to be distributed on January 3, but they were pushed back to January 7.

The latest gate.iitkgp.ac.in statement states that the date of downloading the GATE 2022 Admit Card will be notified shortly.

GATE is an enrollment examination for engineering and other disciplines graduates. To download the admit cards, applicants will need to log in using their GATE 2022 ID and date of birth. Exam centre information and exam day rules, among other guidelines, will be mentioned on the admit card.
