Actor Gauahar Khan and social media Influencer Zaid darbar are now officially husband and wife as the couple tied the knot in a lavish nikah ceremony that took place in Mumbai on Friday. The first look of them as bride and groom is out.

The couple made a stunning entry at the wedding venue, holding hands together. Gauahar looked every bit like a princess in a resplendent gold and ivory embroidered sharara set. She completed her look with heavy gold jewellery and wore a statement maang tikka. Zaid complemented her in similar toned traditional sherwani and looked dashing.The couple will host a reception later on Friday.

The pictures and videos from the grand wedding have already gone viral. In one of the videos, shared by fans, the couple can be seen having hearty laughs together. The couple was beaming in joy as they posed for the shutterbugs with their close family members and friends. Gauahar’s sister Nigaar Khan also posed with the happy couple.

Gauahar and Zaid kicked off their wedding festivities with a haldi ceremony on Monday. For the function, the couple had two outfit changes. In one, they twinned in a yellow coloured outfit, and in another they opted for mustard coloured outfits. They danced their heart out on dhol beats during the ceremony.

The Chiksa ceremony was followed by the Mehendi ceremony on Thursday, in which the couple dazzled in green coloured matching traditional outfits. Zaid’s father and music composer Ismail Darbar took the stage and sang for the couple.

The couple had announced their wedding earlier this month.They announced their engagement on social media much after the rumours of them being in relationship made headlines.They were often seen commenting on each other’s photos which solidified the rumours.

Meanwhile, Gauahar is best known for her roles in films like Ishaqzaade, Rocket Singh and Game. She had also been one of the contestants in reality show Bigg Boss. Recently, she appeared as a senior on Bigg Boss season 14.

Actor Gauahar Khan and social media influencer Zaid Darbar’s pre-wedding festivities have begun with the haldi ceremony. Khan took to Instagram to share a glimpse of her wedding celebrations. During the ceremony, the couple complemented each other in matching yellow outfits. While Gauahar wore a Maayera Jaipur lehenga, Darbar looked dapper in a pastel yellow kurta. The couple is set to get hitched on December 25 in an intimate ceremony in the presence of close friends and family.

A couple of days ago, Gauahar Khan had shared her digital wedding invite which threw light on the couple’s lockdown love story. The couple had met while shopping for groceries and soon they started exchanging text messages. In the card, the couple revealed that their dating night were all about quarantine drives and parking garages. They said that despite the distance, they always found themselves together. The card ended with the note that they can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives with love, laughter and most importantly good food.

In a recent interview with a newspaper, Gauahar Khan said she was not looking for love when she met Zaid Darbar, but there was something about him that drew her to him. She said Darbar proposed to her within a month of their first meeting. She said marriage was never on his mind, but things happened in a flow.

Gauahar said she was in a happy space and not looking for love when she met Darbar. She said she did not butterflies in her stomach but she felt she had met her human who could take care of her, understand her and handle her. Khan, who is seven years older to Darbar said age difference has not really mattered in their relationship.
