After attending G20 Summit in New Delhi, global leaders are scheduled to fly back home on Monday. Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden has left the national capital after attending the G20 Summit. President Biden will arrive in Vietnam today to deepen the cooperation between the two countries.

Biden’s meeting with Nguyen Phu Trong, the leader of Vietnam’s ruling Communist Party, on Sunday, is expected to deepen a comprehensive strategic partnership, the highest level of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

Reports suggest that the primary aim of the short visit will be to rally support against China’s rising power, much like Biden’s objective at the G20 gathering.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will leave Delhi tomorrow after attending the two-day G20 Leader’s Summit in India’s capital. Other global leaders such as France President Emmanuel Macron and Canadian PM Justin Trudeau will also leave the national capital on Monday.

Today at the iconic Rajghat, the G20 family paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi – the beacon of peace, service, compassion and non-violence.

The Heads of State of countries including UAE, Bangladesh, Egypt, China, Australia, UK, Argentina, Indonesia, France, Germany, Netherlands, Turkey, Japan, Italy, Spain, South Africa, Republic of Korea, Canada and Singapore will depart from Delhi on September 11.

The foreign secretary has issued a directive assigning Union Ministers of State with the responsibility of seeing off foreign delegates after the summit.

On Monday, in addition to the 20 heads of state, seven G20 leaders from countries such as Brazil, the African Union (represented by Comoros), Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, the European Union, and Mauritius will also depart from Delhi.

India’s G20 presidency has brought about a significant development as the African Union, comprising 55 member states, has now become a permanent member of the world’s foremost group of economies.

This momentous milestone marks the first expansion of the influential bloc since its inception in 1999, signifying the global recognition of Africa’s growing economic influence and potential.

On the second day of the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed G20 leaders and delegation heads to Rajghat where they paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi while listening to a live rendition of some of the revered Mahatama Gandhi’s devotional songs.

The first people to arrive at the venue this morning included Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, United Nations Secretary General António Guterres, and IMF chief Kristalina Georgieva.

Standing before a picture of Bapu Kuti, PM Modi greeted the dignitaries with a angvastram or stole.

Bapu Kuti can be found at the Sevagram Ashram in Maharashtra, which served as Mahatma Gandhi’s home from 1936 until his passing in 1948.

President of the United States Joe Biden arrived at Rajghat to honour Mahatma Gandhi. PM Modi gave him khadi as a gift to say “hello.” Biden will be leaving for Vietnam at 10.30 am, thus he won’t be able to attend the G20 Summit’s last session today.

On September 9, as the G20 Leaders’ Summit got underway at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre in New Delhi, the Group of 20 formally welcomed the African Union as a permanent member. ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’ has been emphasised as the theme of this year’s summit by India, which is currently holding the G20 chair.

On Saturday, Bangladesh’s foreign minister, Abdul Momen, thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inviting his country to attend the G20 meeting as a guest member and said that this was a great honour for them.

According to Momen, PM Modi pushed Sheikh Hasina to network with other leaders throughout the meeting.

Meanwhile, The acceptance of the New Delhi Leaders’ Declaration will occur after the summit’s third session, dubbed One Future, which runs from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.

Believing in the humanitarian mindset of the society, Golden Globe Honors Foundation has felicitated global leaders across the world with a Medallion of Solidarity and a Certificate of Honor for their exemplary philanthropic work in society. The leaders honored included the Prime Minister of India- Narendra Modi, the President of Russia- Vladimir Putin, Leader of the Opposition in Israel- Benjamin Netanyahu, and the Former Prime Minister of Japan- Shinzo Abe.

These honors are done keeping in mind the impeccable contribution Mother Teresa made to set the humanitarian benchmark in the country. Following her footsteps, these global leaders have manifested their place among the Exclusive Big Heart Philanthropists of the world by the Golden Globe Honors Foundation.

Talking about the initiative of honoring the ones who put all their resources for the betterment of others, CEO and Founder of the organization, Dr. Bharath Chandran(HC) says,

“I believe that it is the responsibility of every individual to contribute for the betterment of the community from where we belong. As Mother Teresa truly said that nobody can single-handedly bring a change but together we can cast stones across the waters to create ripples. I solicit that the privileged should listen to the voice of the disadvantaged, for, a privileged person without mercy, is an awful philistine.”

“The greatest leader is not the one who does great things but the one who gets others to do great things. We are together the creators of the future of the world, we need to add seats to the table. We are not taking away seats, but in fact, we are fulfilling the need to include everyone. This is for the betterment of everyone’s world’’, he further added.
