A 58-year-old teacher has been suspended for molesting girl students in a government school in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior. A horrifying incident came to light after parents filed a complaint against the teacher for putting his hands under the clothes of the girls. The incident is reported from Arauli in the Utila police station area, which is about 35 km from Gwalior city.

The matter came to light when four girls aged 8 to 9 refused to go to school. It is when the family got to know about the teacher, Munshilal Manohar’s dirty acts. Soon after, the parents reached the school but the accused fled. After the complaint, the police arrested the accused by registering a case against him under the POCSO Act.

According to the reports, the girls revealed that Munshilal used to stand behind them while teaching. The girls said the accused teacher used to put his hands inside their clothes and touch their bodies. On resisting, Munshilal threatened to fail them. The parents of the victim reached the school and demanded strict action against the teacher.

The female officer attempted to speak with the victims, but the victims were unable to speak due to fear. ASP Jairaj Kuber said that the accused teacher has been arrested. With immediate effect, Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh has dismissed the accused teacher, Munshilal Mahour, from his job.

Earlier on October 17, an assistant teacher in Assam was suspended for molesting a student in a school. The accused Binod Kumar Goswami was an assistant teacher at Padum Kuwari Collegiate High School, Rangia.

A show cause notice was also served to the school teacher from the office of the Inspector of Schools regarding this matter on October 14.
