As actor Shahid Kapoor turned a year older today, his half-brother and actor Ishaan Khatter shared an adorable picture, reminiscing their childhood days to wish him on his 40th birthday.

Ishaan shared then and now post from their childhood albums which featured a baby version of himself with a much younger Shahid holding him in his arms. Another picture showed the grown up brothers posing together. 

Alsonside the photo, Ishaan borrowed lyrics from Rajesh Khanna song from Anand to wish his brother. He wrote, Zindagi kaisi hai paheli haaye. Kabhi toh hasaaye, kabhi yeh rulaaye. But through it all… I’ll always love you, bade bhai. Happy birthday.

Soon after, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar and actor Ayushmann Khurrana showered their love on the post with a heart emoji. 

Ishaan, meanwhile, was last seen with Ananya Panday in action comedy Khaali Peeli. He is currently busy shooting for ‘Phone Bhoot’ with Katrina Kaif and Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Kiara Advani also took to Instagram to wish her Kabir Singh co-actor on the special day. Kiara shared a BTS video ‘Kabir Singh’ promotions featuring Shahid. In the video, he can be heard saying, Kabir is on a detox, man!

Alongside the video, the actor also wrote a sweet birthday note for him that read, Happiest birthday SK! @shahidkapoor” followed by a heart emoji. Take a look:

For the first time, Shahid and Kiara had collaborated for a project, and their chemistry was lauded by the audience in the hindi remake of south film Arjun Reddy. The film performed outstandingly well at the box office despite criticism.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid will next be seen in a sports drama titled Jersey, co-starring Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur. The film is slated for a theatrical release on Diwali this year i.e November 5.
