The Supreme Court of India will be hearing a petition for the annulment of the CBSE Term 2 Board examinations 2022 and other Board Examinations today, on February 21, 2022.

Several students and guardians from all around the country are demanding the Central Board of Secondary Education’s (CBSE) Term 2 board exams 2022, which are set to begin on April 26, 2022, to conduct examinations in offline mode.

Applicants from more than 15 states have petitioned the Supreme Court for an alternate evaluation procedure for Class 10th and Class 12th board examinations for the year 2022.

Other boards, such as the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), and many different state boards have also requested board exam cancellations.

Examine why students are requesting that the board examinations should be canceled, as well as the issues they encountered during online lectures.

The parents and the students are appealing for the offline board examinations to be scrapped and students to be evaluated using internal evaluation criteria or other alternate assessment tasks, such as those used last year.

The reason for this requirement is that because sessions were conducted online, therefore, examinations should also follow a similar pattern. Moreover, the students have examined many additional factors.

Srishti, a student from Class 10 at a CBSE-affiliated board school in Lucknow, states that they are unprepared for the board examinations, especially when they will be held offline. She says, their classes were held online and had a lot of trouble following the syllabus of the programmes.
