The United States’ Vice President Kamala Harris’s trip to Vietnam was delayed as she got diagnosed with a recent possible undisclosed health incident or known as Havana Syndrome. Kamala Harris had a flight from Singapore to Havana which got delayed by three hours. However, later she flew to the Vietnamese capital as a part of her scheduled trip across Asia.

How did Kamala Harris got infected with Havana Syndrome?

It is reportedly said that someone in Hanoi came down with Havana Syndrome due to which Harris got infected with the disease. The local US Embassy also said that the Vice President’s office was made aware of a recent possible anomalous health incident in Hanoi.

What is Havana Syndrome/ Anomalaous Health Incident?

According to the US Government, Havana syndrome is an anomalous health incident in which the people who are impacted with this syndrome hears a loud piercing sound and they also feel intense pressure in the face. Apart from this, the one who is impacted by this also feels nauseated and dizzy sometimes.

It is also reported that the US official said in a briefing on August 25 that the case of Havana syndrome should be taken seriously.

When was the first case of Havana Syndrome reported?

The first case of Havana Syndrome was reported in 2016. These cases have so far been reported in the United States, Cana, Austria, and Germany.

However, some reports claim that the Havana Syndrome is an intentional sonic attack. Later, in 2018, it was reported that the FBI found no evidence of an intentional attack.
