The Hyderabad police have arrested two men for allegedly drugging and raping a 17-year-old girl in an Oyo room. The crime took place on September 13. The accused have been identified as Ravish (20) and Niyaz Ahmed (26).

Police said that Both, the victim and the accused, were from the same area and they knew each other. A drug-laced soft drink was offered to the victim and she became unconscious.

The victim’s father filed a complaint at the Dabeerapur police station. The victim informed her father about the incident after being conscious.

According to the media reports, the victim’s father complained to the police that his daughter was missing. The police were searching for the girl. She was rescued by the police and sent to a Bharosa centre.

Police said that based on the complaint given by the parents and the girl’s statement, they have registered a case. The victim was sent for a medical examination.

A juvenile was also arrested for allegedly kidnapping and raping a minor girl from the city’s Bhavnagar area.

Another incident of rape and murder has come to light from Uttar Pradesh. Two minor Dalit sisters were allegedly gang-raped and hanged from a tree in a village in Lakhimpur Kheri district on Wednesday evening. Six accused in this matter have been taken into custody.

According to the victim’s mother, they were kidnapped by three bike-borne men at around 3 pm on Wednesday. About three hours later, they were found hanging from a tree outside the village.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjeev Suman said that the accused have been identified as Junaid, Suhail, Karimuddin, Arif, Hafizur Rahman and Chhotu Gautam. They raped the girls. Later, they were hanged at some distance so that it did not look like a murder.

In a latest development in the Hyderabad gang-rape case, the police will appeal for an exemption to try juveniles as adults in this case. It will be the discretion of the Juvenile Justice Board to accept or reject the appeal.

Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand said that the police will seek this in court to ensure maximum punishment. He also said that otherwise a juvenile cannot be sentenced to more than three years in jail.

Notably, all the five minors, in this case, are between 16 and 18 years and one of the accused is one month of 18 years. It is reported that three of the minors are linked to powerful politicians.

There are a total of six accused in this case and of them, four are minors. All of them are known for having powerful contacts.

Who all are the accused?

Two are adults, they are- Omer Khan and Saduddin Malik. Four are minors, and of them, one is a son of a TRS leader, one is a son of a GHMC corporator, one is a son of a TRS corporator from Sangareddy, and one is a son of an AIMIM MLA. He is the one who will turn 18 on July 7, according to his Aadhaar card.

It is reported that the incident took place on May 28 when the girl and the attackers met at a party at a pub in Hyderabad’s upscale Jubilee Hills. The place of the party was booked by two minors for a party before the schools reopened. They made the booking at Rs 900 to Rs 1,000 per head and sold tickets for Rs 1,200 apiece.

The girl attended the party with a friend, and they left early but later met with the group, who assaulted her the same evening inside a Toyota Innova. The statement of the girl was recorded in front of a magistrate.

Days after 5 men raped a minor girl inside a Mercedes car in Hyderabad, the Telangana police arrested the second accused in the case.

On Friday, the first accused, Saduddin Malik was nabbed by the police. Reports said 3 out of the 5 accused are minors. The investigation is underway and the police are looking for other accused.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Joel Davis refused to reveal the identity of the families of the accused. Reports said all the accused are Class 11 and 12 students and belong to politically influential families. It is also said that an MLA’s son was a part of the group, however, this has not been confirmed yet.

All about the Hyderabad gang-rape case

The horrifying incident took place on Friday evening in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills area wherein a 17-year-old was allegedly gang-raped by five men who offered to drop her home from a pub.

Reports said the boy did not drop her home and took turns in raping the minor inside their Mercedes car at Jubliee Hills. The reports further said the minor had gone to the pub along with a friend. She befriended a boy at the party after her friend left early. The boy and his friends promised to drop her home, however, stopped at a pastry shop.

Later, they parked the car in a secluded area and raped the minor. The victim’s father noticed injuries on her neck following which the victim narrated the story to him.

The victim’s father filed a police complaint immediately under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. After recording the statement of the victim, the police altered the section to Section 376 of the IPC.

As per a report in NDTV, the police are also probing how minors were allowed in the pub that serves alcohol. The manager of the pub had said that one was allowed to drink or smoke at the party.

A minor girl from Hyderabad has been gang-raped by the college students in the car last Saturday near the Jubilee Hills area, whom she reportedly met in the pub. The report said, when the victim decided to leave the club after-party, the accused with his friend insisted that they will drop her safely at her place.

As per the information shared by the police, all the accused are minors. One of the accused was identified as the son of MLA, who is reportedly also involved in the crime, but police said he was not involved in gang rape.

Before committing the horrific crime, all accused first took the victim to a pastry shop, after that took the car to a dark isolated place, then violated her, police revealed.

Initially, the victim’s father registered a case of outraging modesty on the basis of her statement. But later, after noticing some injuries on her neck and back, the family felt suspicious. They forced her to tell about the incident in detail, then she revealed that she was gang-raped by some boys she met in the club.

Police officer Joel Davis told the media that the victim’s father approached the police station regarding the incident three days ago to file a case of outraging modesty and under POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences). But later, he filed a complaint and a rape case against five minors for the alleged gang rape on May 28.

Davis said, since the crime was committed at the night, the CCTV footage from that particular place does not give them many details, but the team of experts is tracing all the footage and collecting the evidence to verify if any minors were involved in the alleged gang rape. He said, the investigation is still going on, accused will not be spared, he added.
