Online certificate programmes in Spanish and French have been recently launched by the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Such courses will be provided to learners by the School of Foreign Languages, Ignou. These courses will be starting from January 2022 session. What is the Certificate in Spanish Language and Culture (CSLCOL)?

The duration of the Spanish Language and Culture (CSLCOL) is 6 months. Candidates who have passed the class 10+12 or equivalent with the knowledge of English can apply for this course. They have to pay a fee of Rs 4, 500 for the Certificate in Spanish Language and Culture programme.

This course is designed for those learners who are interested in learning the Spanish language in a non-native context and who desire to receive cultural information on the Spanish-speaking countries.

What is the Certificate in French Language and Culture (CFLOL)?

The certificate in French Language and Culture (CFLOL) course is for 6 months. Candidates who are 18 years above and have passed class 10+12 from a recognised board can apply for this course. For applying to this course, candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 6,600.

This course is launched by IGNOU for those learners who want to build up skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking in the French language. It helps to simultaneously develop intercultural competence to them.
