SRH might not have qualified for the IPL 2022 play-offs but their pacer Umran Malik has finally received his maiden call-up for the upcoming T20 series against South Africa. Malik will finally don the Indian Jersey while senior players like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have been rested.

Umran Malik, who recently clocked 157 kph which is possibly the fastest ball in the history of IPL, is also the fifth-highest wicket-taker in IPL 2022. The pacer has 21 wickets from 13 matches and at an average of 20 and economy rate of 8.93.

Wicket-Keeper batsman Dinesh Karthik will finally make his comeback in international cricket after three years. The 36 years old impressed cricket fans and selectors after finishing several games for RCB this year. He has scored 287 runs from at a strike-rate of 191.33 from 14 games.

Virat Kohli was open to taking a small break from cricket as he has been playing non-stop cricket lately. And seem like the upcoming T20 series is that time for the cricketer. Virat might not have a good tournament in IPL 2022 but the last game gave us the old Kohli back. The former skipper made 75 from 54 balls and was timing the ball perfectly.

The second highest scorer of IPL 2022, KL Rahul will lead the Indian team in the absence of Rohit Sharma. And the wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant will be the Vice Captain of the team. The upcoming five-match T20I series against South Africa will begin from June 9.
