Team India has already arrived in South Africa, where they will be playing a three-test-match series first and then an ODI series of three matches. Virat Kohli-led Indian team will the first test match from December 26.

Team India’s ODI captain and test vice-captain Rohit Sharma will miss the tour as the star opening batsman injured himself while practising in the nets, just two days before leaving for youth Africa on December 14.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli who himself is going through some tough times, considering his recent relationship with BCCI ad senior officials of the board, including BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, was seen sharing fun moments with his teammates on their way to Jo’Burg, South Africa.

He can be seen pulling legs of his camaraderie and Delhi boy Ishant Sharma over a bag. While Ashwin complains about Shami’s unusual sleeping habit that how can someone sleep for four hours straight with covering his entire face. On the other hand, veteran middle-order batsman Cheteshwar Pujar could not sleep throughout the journey and hopes for better sleep after reaching Jo’Burg. Ajinkya Rahane who was sitting next to Pujara remarked India’s no. 3 batter as quite irritating.

The first test match between India and South Africa starts on December 26 and the series will be played till January 15, 2022. Gujarat’s opening batsman Priyank Panchal has been named in the Indian squad as Rohit Sharma’s replacement.
