Indian bowling attack has ripped the England team by dismissing three batsmen at duck. England’s former skipper Joe Root, current Test captain Ben Stokes and opener Jason Roy got dismissed at Zero, lucky for them, none of them sustained golden ducks.

Indian blowers Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami not only troubled English batters but have already sent five batsmen back to their pavilion. After Joe Root, Ben Stokes and Jason Roy, Man-in-form Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingston were also dismissed later.

Currently, England captain Joss Butler and Moeen Ali are on the crease somehow managing the ruthless Indian bowling attack. Mohammed Shami and Jasprit Bumrah’s brilliant bowling spell has restricted England score board to 30 runs in 10 overs.

On the other hand, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja ended the third session of the first day at 88 not-out.

India will begin the second day Test on 338 for 7 wickets, with Jadeja and Mohammed Shami on crease. Both the cricketers can bring serious damage to England incase they don’t get early wickets in the first session of the second day.

According to a BCC report, England’s World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan has decided to announce his retirement. And seems like it’s the end of one of the most glorious chapters in the history of England’s white-ball cricket. However, with captain Eoin Morgan retiring from international cricket, the debate on his successor has already begun.

While Ben Stokes just replaced Joe Root in Test cricket, the name of England’s next white ball captain is being suggested from all over the world. But seems like the captain himself had a name in mind. If reports are to be believed then Morgan himself wants Joss Butler to take up the responsibilities of captaincy.

Moreover, Joss Butler has even given green signal, which means that the super striker of IPL 2022 will be seen as the new White ball cricket captain of England. For the unversed, several countries like England have a rule of cricket that they have different captains for the red and while ball cricket and hence unlike India one captain cannot take over the captaincy in all formats of the game.

This includes 14 centuries and 47 half-centuries. However, lately the cricketer has been battling with poor form and fitness concerns. And because of the same reasons he was also pulled out of the final ODI against Netherlands.

IPL 2022: Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya entered the crease when his team was three down for just 53 runs. Hardik and Abhinav Manohar rescued GT from a tricky situation and the skipper played a whirlwind knock of 87 runs. Later David Miller added some fireworks to push their total to 192.
