Over the years, we have across numerous films that portray the craziest love triangles, but not many of them have managed to portray a three-way couple and made the audience laugh. It’s a good thing that the wait is now over with the upcoming Tamil rom-com, Kathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal. The film’s teaser is out now.

The film is a breezy and lighthearted comedy that revolves around a man who falls in love with two women and somehow manages to convince both of them to stay in a three-way relationship. A household this tangled will surely bring a lot of laughter to its audience. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has also joined the cast recently.

Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal is set to hit the screens on April 28, 2022, worldwide. The film has been directed by Vignesh Shivn and the music score has been given by Anirudh Ravichander.

This is the first time that Vijay Sethupathi and Samantha will share the screen. To note, both the actors were a part of the Tamil film Super Delux, but they did not have any scenes together. The film also marks the reunion of Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi and Vignesh. Previously, they worked together in the film Naanum Rowdydhaan.

This will be Vignesh’s fourth venture as a director. Before this project, he recently directed a segment for the Tamil anthology Paava Kadhaigal. The drama web series consists of four episodes that premiered on Netflix India in 2020. The segment under Vignesh stars Anjali and Kalki Koechlin in lead roles. The director shared that he has always been a huge fan of Netflix and its storytelling. He explained that as a filmmaker, having the opportunity to communicate your narrative to a broad audience alongside three recognised directors who believe in your tale as much as you do is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
